This exceptional trek takes you to the heart of the High Atlas, through an immersive hike that begins in the Aït Boulli valley. Initially, the path offers a superb view of the Tassaout valley, before reaching the vast Tarkedit plateau, an ideal base camp at the foot of M’Goun. This crossing reveals wild and preserved landscapes, far from the beaten track, and opens the door to genuine encounters with the warm hospitality of the Atlas Amazighs. An authentic adventure combining exploration, ascent, and cultural immersion.

Welcome and transfer to the Riad.
Dinner on your own.
After breakfast, departure from Marrakech to begin our journey towards the Central High Atlas via Demnate, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. In Aït Boulli, we will meet our team of muleteers and the cook, locals who raise herds of goats and sheep. After lunch, our trek will begin in the valley, crossing villages with red earth hues, walnut orchards, passing through the village of Tazegzaout, Aqua n’Daghour and its terraced crops, to finally reach the village of Rougoult.
Dinner and overnight at the camp near the village or in a gite depending on the weather.
4h30 driving and 2h30 walking.
This trekking day will take us through gorges and sheepfolds along the Assif N’AKKA N’TFIRA towards the Tizi n’Rougoult pass (2860m). Lunch will be taken at the foot of the pass. In the afternoon, we cross the Tizi n’Rougoult pass (2860m) to reach our bivouac at the sources of the Tessaout.

We begin our journey with a beautiful climb on a panoramic trail with a very beautiful view of the colorful Tessaout valley.
We cross the Assdrem pass (3000m) to reach the high plateaus at 3200m, the territory of the nomads. We will discover the chasms and caves they occupy all summer, before reaching the M'Goun base camp on the vast Tarkeddit plateau.
Setting up the bivouac at 2890m. Possibility of sleeping in the refuge.

Elevation gain: 700 m; Elevation loss: 400 m.
Ascent of the M’Goun summit very early in the morning, following the ridge to the top. There is an exceptional view of the entire Central High Atlas and, to the south, the Dades valley, the Sarhro, and the Drâa hamada. Descent to the Oumsoud pass to reach the bivouac near the Tanougout sheepfolds. Very beautiful bivouac.
NB: for those who do not wish to climb M’Goun, it is possible to follow the muleteers, who go directly to the camp.

Elevation gain: 1180 m; Elevation loss: 1470 m.
A short walk leads us to the vehicle that will take us back to Touda Ecolodge. Lunch at Touda. Traditional Hammam at the end of the day.

Transfer to Marrakech. Check-in at the riad.
